Information you provide

When you paste a public Instagram URL to download a video, photo, Story, Highlight, or thumbnail, GrabReel uses that URL only to process the requested download. Do not paste private, sensitive, or confidential URLs into the tool — GrabReel is intended for public content only.

GrabReel never asks for your Instagram username, password, or two-factor code at any point, and never requires a login. If any page or clone of GrabReel asks for Instagram credentials, do not enter them.

How your download requests are handled and retained

The URL you paste is sent to our download service and to our media-extraction provider, Apify (Apify Technologies s.r.o.), which fetches the public media from Instagram's content delivery network on your behalf. The URL and the resulting media are processed transiently to fulfil the request and are not stored in a database or user profile by GrabReel after the download link is generated.

Standard server and CDN logs (for example IP address, user agent, and timestamp) may be retained for a short period for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting, and are then rotated out. We do not build advertising or behavioural profiles from the URLs you paste.

Analytics, advertising, and third-party services

GrabReel uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-YSK0DZKKR9) to understand aggregate, non-identifying site usage, and Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-5372127590513611) to show ads that help keep the tool free. These Google services may set cookies or use similar browser storage and may process your IP address and ad identifiers under Google's own privacy terms.

Media extraction is performed by Apify as described above. Downloaded files are streamed to you through a proxy so your browser can save them reliably; the proxy does not retain the file. You can control or limit ad personalization through your browser settings and your Google Ad Settings, and you can block cookies at the browser level.

Cookies and consent

Essential storage is used only to run the tool. Analytics and advertising cookies are set by the Google services above. Depending on your region, you may see a consent prompt (for example, Google's EU user consent / funding-choices flow) and can accept, reject, or adjust these choices; you can also clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.

Your rights and legal basis

Because GrabReel does not require an account and does not store the URLs you paste against an identity, it holds little to no personal data about you directly. Where analytics or advertising partners process personal data, that is handled under their policies and, where applicable, your consent (for example under the EU/UK GDPR and India's DPDP Act). To exercise access, deletion, or objection rights relating to data GrabReel controls, or to ask a privacy question, contact support@grabreel.me.

Public-content boundary

GrabReel is intended for public Instagram content only. The service does not bypass private accounts, paywalls, login walls, account restrictions, or creator privacy settings. Every Instagram download processed by GrabReel must originate from a publicly accessible post.

Users are responsible for respecting creator rights, platform rules, and local law when saving or reusing downloaded files. Downloading a publicly available file does not transfer ownership or grant redistribution rights.
