Founder and editor, GrabReel

Priyansh Mathur runs GrabReel's product and editorial workflow, personally testing every public Instagram video download flow — Reels, photos, Stories, Highlights, and thumbnails — across mobile and desktop browsers and documenting what works without logins, apps, watermarks, or private-account access.

Experience and testing focus

Priyansh is a developer and content researcher based in India who has spent years building and testing browser-based media tools. He founded GrabReel to solve a concrete, recurring problem: saving public Instagram media cleanly — without an account, an app, a browser extension, or a watermark on the result. Every tool page and guide on the site is written or reviewed by him before publication.

His testing process is hands-on and repeatable. Each public download flow — Reels, feed videos, photo posts, carousels, Stories, Highlights, and Reel cover thumbnails — is checked manually across at least four environments: Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Windows, and Safari on macOS. Test cases confirm that the saved file matches the original public source (up to full HD 1080p or 4K where the source allows), that no watermark is added, that the audio track is preserved when present, and that the correct format (MP4 for video, JPEG for images) is delivered.

He writes with a deliberate focus on honesty about limitations: private accounts, deleted posts, and expired Stories are never presented as recoverable, and every guide is updated when Instagram changes its public sharing behavior or the tool's own behavior changes.
